"It Was All A Dream..."

 

Liberated Audio began in September of 2010 as 'HearSay Radio Show'. HearSay was designed to combine music and talk that wasn't being heard on mainstream radio.  At that time, founder Clarissa Antoinette brainstormed and worked on perfecting the collaborative of Music and Talk. Career demands and motherhood would halt the execution of HearSay until November of 2012.  After months, then years of planning, Clarissa held the "Friends 4 Shaye" benefit for a local woman and childhood friend suffering from an unknown condition. It was there she would meet investors that saw her production work on the benefit concert and wanted to work with her. She decided to take time to revisit HearSay. After a month of work, losing the investors, and other personal hardships, she reached out to he childhood friend and Hip-Hop Enthusiast Jay Reed. Together, they re-branded HearSay to what is now Liberated Audio. Liberated Audio is an online, on demand radio station that caters to local, underground music artist. It provides a media outlet of music and various talk shows all designed with young, urban professionals in mind. On March 22, 2013, a "soft launch' of the station aired gaining 409 listeners without any promotion as listeners were gearing up for the official launch on April 1, 2013. 

During Premiere Week, LA hosted various events including an official launch party and an Unsigned Hype Competition for unsigned artists, where the winner took home $1000. Local artist SPdaKing took home the win.  The flagship show 'The Conversation Piece' hosted live, interactive talk shows through the end of April. As time went on, more talk shows emerged and more artist began to submit there music.

While Liberated Audio is in the Top 20 R&B/Urban Stations and Top 10% Overall on the Live365 Network(LA can also be found on TuneIn Radio and coming this fall to iTunes Radio), the entire staff dedicates themselves to continuously raising the bar and promises that Liberated Audio will always be committed to providing quality programming.
